Find what you’re looking for
Often the easiest way to find what you're looking for is to search for it. The ‘Search’ box is at the top of every page, next to the gamebase logo.
Simply type what you are looking for into the box and click ‘Search’. If you don’t find what you want straight away, here are a few tips:
Best results are often obtained if you enter just one or two key words from the title of the item you are looking for. Try using the least common words. (Don’t use words like ‘the’, ‘and’, ‘a’, etc. which will produce many results)
The gamebase.co.uk search engine will reveal the same results regardless of whether you use the correct punctuation or not.
Try a different search category
The main areas of the site are shown at the top of every page in the navigation bar, under the Home tab simply click the tabs to move between different formats.
You can choose to browse prior to, or after choosing a format, you can then choose a more specific category by clicking one of the options in the ‘Browse Games’ section on the left of every page. For example, you can narrow down your browse criteria in Xbox One by choosing ‘Adventure' or ‘Driving/Racing’ – it’s up to you!
Making a purchase at gamebase.co.uk is easy and secure.
When you find an item you want to purchase, click the ‘Buy’ button. The item will be added to your ‘Shopping Basket’ this is found on the left of the page, below the ‘Search’ box.
When you are ready to buy, click the ‘Checkout’ button in the Shopping Basket.
As part of our 'play safe' and 'age related sales' programme all users who purchase from gamebase.co.uk agree that the age restriction for each product ordered is that to their own age. Please see our PEGI information page.
Creating an account
The first time you make a purchase with us you will need to register and create an account. The account will store your name, address and credit/debit card details. This only takes a couple of minutes to set up and is fully secure. (Please note that this is not a membership plus+) account).
During the checkout process we will ask you to confirm the delivery address and show you the total cost of your purchase (remember at gamebase.co.uk standard postage and packing is always completely free for UK customers!). Once you have checked these details and clicked ‘Confirm’ you will have completed your purchase.
Customer Service and Returns Procedure
We are unable to provide technical support or advice regarding the functionality or use of any item purchased on gamebase.co.uk and would also advise that you contact the product manufacturer directly for this.
We will endeavour to reply to all enquiries as soon as possible (office hours 9am to 6pm Monday – Saturday).
All orders are dispatched next working day by First Class delivery (priority shipping also available) to ensure same day despatch (providing the order was received before 1pm).
We test every single item returned to us. If an item authorised to be returned as faulty is found not to be faulty by our test centre then we will return/replace the item to you like for like and you will be liable for the postage. This will not exceed £2.00 for a single box sized video game. Postage costs for other products will depend on the item.
We advise you to check any video game on a second machine and to check any instructions carefully before returning it. We will not refund postage for item(s) found to be in good working order.
We will authorise the return of an item in the following cases:
10 day Exchange Policy
Disappointed with your purchase for any reason? We offer a 10 day exchange policy on pre-owned games (from the day of despatch). The game(s) must be returned to us within 7 days of a returns email being issued which will include the returns authorisation code given by our customer service team. You can then choose another game from our range. Please note that a charge will be deducted from the credit given for postage, packing and processing (usually around £1.99 per item). Each purchase can only be exchanged once.
Faulty or damaged item
You may return any item that was faulty or damaged when received for a full replacement or refund. The item(s) must be returned to us within 7 days of a returns email being issued which will include the returns authorisation code given by our customer service team. We will refund your card once we have received and processed the item. Any refund/exchange will only be processed after the fault described is verified by our internal test centre. We will also refund your return postage in that case.
Duplicate or incorrect item
You may return any duplicate or incorrect item sent to you as a result of our error for a full refund. The item(s) must be returned to us within 7 days of a returns email being issued which will include the returns authorisation code given by our customer service team. We will refund your card once we have received and processed the item. In these cases we will also refund the return postage.
You may return any unwanted item within 7 days of receiving it, for a full refund providing it is unopened/still sealed. The item(s) must be returned to us within 7 days of a returns email being issued which will include the returns authorisation code given by our customer service team. We will refund your card once we have received and processed the item. Your return postage charges will not be refunded in these cases.
Void if removed stickers
Any given item that has been authorised for a return must have the 'gamebase warranty void if removed' sticker intact for the exchange or refund to be honoured. This is located on each video game disc.
If any game develops a fault within twelve months of despatch we will gladly offer a repair or replacement copy free of charge. The item(s) must be returned to us within 7 days of a returns email being issued which will include the returns authorisation code given by our customer service team. Please note that the disc must not be scratched or damaged in this case which has resulted clearly from accidental damage.
Packing your return
Wrap the item securely and include the original packing slip/invoice along with your returns authorisation email. Usually the packaging in which the item was sent can be used for its return.
Can I return Multibuy items?
Multibuy items can be returned to us if one of the return refund conditions listed above is met. We are able to offer you a straight replacement for any single Multibuy item. However due to the nature of these promotions we cannot offer you a refund for the main or qualifying item alone. Refunds can only be issued if one of the return refund conditions listed above is met and BOTH items are returned to us.
